Law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The Saint Paul Police Department came to us with a desire to increase department diversity and expand community engagement.
Branding, logo design, print communications, art direction, and photography.
To respond to their needs, we created a simple-to-use brand guide and campaign with a positive and welcoming message of inclusivity featuring the phrase “Step forward.” The design for the campaign started with adding more representation in the imagery used and an image of the St. Paul cityscape in the background. We then added a simple message, and the police shield brought it all together. We used this design direction on the brochures, flyers, pins, and micro-website.
