Spanish language catalog for Jostens

Company: DLJ Merchant Banking Partners III
Project: Multi-category product catalog development and production.
Purpose: Increase U.S. Latino catalog sales of student products.
Solution: Engage Latino parents in the buying process (parents typically have the purchasing power) with creativity  that is appealing to students and parents alike, and by using Spanish-only copy to resonate with parents. Previous catalog editions targeted Latinos in English, leaving parents unable to read or understand content. Therefore, UNO’s new strategy was to actively involve parents in this new American way of celebrating graduation – by appealing to their sensibilities and  pride, and helping them to commemorate this critical education benchmark with their children.
Outcome: The Southern California catalog pilot resulted in an unprecedented volume of Latino orders, vastly surpassing any previous order levels.
