Mi gente, get ready to support your familia while you shop at one of America’s biggest retailers. For the first time, they are releasing a Latino Heritage Month collection. The collection will spotlight creators and businesses contributing to the “multidimensionality of the Latino community.”
The Heritage Month Collection is part of Target’s Más Que Hub. Oh yeah, did you know that Target has an Más Que Hub and that it’s available year-round? There you will find a curated collection of Latinx-owned brands. This includes everything from home decor to food and, of course, clothing.
Think adorable Día de Los Muertos candles from the Luis Fitch collection.
Target Senior Buyer Liz Hernandez said in a statement, “We already have so many amazing Latinx-owned brands we work with that it felt natural to showcase them in an exclusive collection to further support their businesses, as well as to commission standout Latinx artists to create special designs specific to this themed assortment.
While this particular Heritage Month collection is a first for the retailer, their support of our communities is not new. In the past 5 years, Target has invested more than $1.1 billion in Latinx-owned suppliers and businesses.
