Promotion for the opening of the First national museum of the American Latino showing one of the gallery items.

A Latino History of the United States.

Client

National Museum of the American Latino

The Smithsonian NMAL is dedicated to highlighting the contributions of American Latinos to U.S. history and culture.

The Project

A visual campaign to communicate the opening of the first National American Latino Museum in Washington, DC, which recognizes the Latino community’s accomplishments, their rich history, and their culture.

Services

Brand identity, environmental museum signage, social media, and bilingual print communication campaigns.

The Solution

The comprehensive environmental outdoor and interior signage and advertising campaign drew inspiration from the colorful dress of Cuban singer Celia Cruz, the “Queen of Salsa,” whose career spanned six decades. She was often the only woman in the male-dominated world of Afro-Latin music.
