The Project

Manzanita Sol is a PepsiCo-owned and beloved Mexican soft drink. The company wanted a new package design to reach young U.S. Latino consumers while preserving its brand-loyal following in Mexico and the U.S.

Refresh branding, illustrations, and package design.

The Solution

We started by turning the “O” in Sol into a sun and then added large images of fruit on the cans to showcase the new fruit flavors, with the names of the fruits displayed below in Spanish. We used a large, quirky typeface to draw in a young audience.
